Utbildningsavdelningen ger stöd till studenter och personal vid LTH avseende antagning, examen på grund- och avancerad nivå, schemaläggning/lokalbokning samt programplanering. Avdelningen bidrar med kompetens för rättssäker handläggning av utbildningsadministrativa ärenden vid LTH.

Denna enhet tillhör avdelningen Historisk arkeologi. Här ingår personer med verksamhetsroller affilierad forskare, professor emerita och professor emeritus som tillhör avdelningen.

På Filosofiska institutionen arbetar ett sjuttiotal anställda och drygt 250 studenter, antingen inom den tidigaste akademiska disciplinen filosofi, eller inom en av de allra senast tillkomna, kognitionsvetenskap. Nationalekonomiska institutionen är en av de största institutionerna inom Ekonomihögskolan vid Lunds universitet. Antalet studenter som registreras vid institutionen under ett läsår uppgår till cirka 2000.
