Study of flow fields in mixing tanks with particles using CFD

The demand for food products with particles has increased in the last decades. Among them, yoghurt with fruit pieces or cereals can be found. Thus, the food processing industry is facing important challenges to offer these products to meet the quality requirements. Tetra Pak creates then this project to research and increases the knowledge of how these fluid-particle interactions behave. The main Human desires when consuming food are nowadays shifting towards more healthy, and natural food. Products with food particles are commonly well perceived by consumers. Among them, one can find yoghurt with fruit pieces or cereals. To process these products, and satisfy the user expectations, some challenging conditions must be faced. Some of these, are explored in this Master Thesis.

Dessa krav kan vara svåruppnåeliga för en hästföretagare, vilket ofta beror på attIn Sweden the Consumer Sales Act (Konsumentköplagen 1990:932) is applied on sales of movables, when the seller is a businessman and the buyer is a consumer. The law was modified in 2002 after an EU-initiated directive - Directive on the Sales of Consumer Goods and Associated Guarantees (1999/44/EC). The directive applies to all member states in the EU and sets out the minimum level of consumer pro

A novel broad-spectrum elastase-like serine protease from the predatory bacterium bdellovibrio bacteriovorus facilitates elucidation of site-specific IgA glycosylation pattern

The increased interest in predatory bacteria due to their ability to kill antibiotic resistant bacteria has also highlighted their inherent plethora of hydrolytic enzymes, and their potential as natural sources of novel therapeutic agents and biotechnological tools. Here, we have identified and characterized a novel protease from the predatory bacterium Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus: BspE (Bdellovibr

The intense debate on continuity in child grammars has largely focused on the existence of Functional Categories (FCs) in early grammars despite differences in language use with adults (e.g., omissions, word order errors, lack of case marking). Simplified, the major theoretical explanations for these properties range from Maturational accounts (Radford 1990 and later) claiming an initial absence o

Zero waste for all? : Sustainable practices in a small-scale zero waste community from a universal design perspective

Since 2003, Kamikatsu in Japan has established a sustainable zero-waste practice that has achieved a recycling rate exceeding 80%. By exploring how the community has shaped itself around the zero-waste concept, this paper aims to enhance our understanding of zero waste in practice from a universal design perspective. Interviews and photo documentation were used to gather data.
