Contractile effects of polycations in permeabilized smooth muscle
The polycations spermine, neomycin and polylysine potentiated Ca(2+)-activated force in beta-escin permeabilized guinea-pig ileum strips. The effect was inhibited by the calmodulin antagonists trifluoperazine, mastoparan and W13.
