Production of the artemisinin precursor amorpha-4,11-diene by engineered Saccharomyces cerevisiae
The gene encoding for amorpha-4,11-diene synthase from Artemisia annua was transformed into yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae in two fundamentally different ways.
