After a brief review of how quantum mechanical weak measurements plus post-selection give rise to the weak value concept, I criticize an interpretation of a weak value as any sort of straightforward, bona fide property of the system under investigation.
This talk contains a short overview of the history of the interplay of the weak and the strong interaction and CP-violation. We present an implementation of the Linked Dipole Chain model for deeply inelastic ep scattering into the framework of the ARIADNE event generator. Using this implementation we obtain results both for the inclusive structure function as well as for exclusive properties of the hadronic final state.
The LDC formalism for DIS can describe HERA structure functions, and also agrees well with CTEQ and MRST gluon distributions. It is also suitable for hadronic collisions, and provides a strong connection between ep and pp reactions. Some preliminary results are presented.
