Bergarten är klassad som monzodiorit till diorit och består av klot, som ligger tätt i ett matrix. Kloten är uppbyggda av en medelkornig kärna omgiven av tre finkorniga skal; ett inre mörkt, ett mellanliggande ljust och ett yttre mörkt skal. MatrixAt Slättemossa, Hultsfreds kommun, Kalmar län, Sweden, two outcrops of orbicular rock occur. Both are smaller than 20 m2. The rock is classified as a monzodiorite to diorite; it contains closely spread orbicules in a matrix.
