"Between Sound and Text", November 12-13, 2026

Welcome to the conference “Between Sound and Text: Contemporary and Historical Perspectives on Sound and/in/of Literature”

The conference takes place November 12-13, 2026 at Lund University. It is organized by the research project “Between Sound and Text” and is funded by the Swedish Research Council and the Sound Environment Center, Lund University.

Please note that the conference will take up two whole days and plan your travel accordingly. We begin around 9 Thursday 12th, and the conference will end no later than 4.30 PM on the 13th.  A program will be available shortly after the registration deadline. 

On this page, you will find all relevant information, including call for paper, program (to be announced), and practical information regarding travel and recommended accommodation.

Please also note that we have a pre-conference workshop on “Sound and/as Research Method” planned for November 11th (1-4PM). This is a small event with a limited number of seats.
