Ansvarsutkrävande i en privatiserad vårdsektor - Fallet primärvården i Region Skåne

Sweden's public sector is drastically changing through reforms of privatization and increased market influences. The aim of this thesis is to examine these reforms' effects on political accountability. The object of study is the regional municipality of Scania, Region Skåne, and its elected officials' possibilities for accountability from the privatized primary care section of the regi

Tumor tissue protein signatures reflect histological grade of breast cancer

Histological grade is one of the most commonly used prognostic factors for patients diagnosed with breast cancer. However, conventional grading has proven technically challenging, and up to 60% of the tumors are classified as histological grade 2, which represents a heterogeneous cohort less informative for clinical decision making. In an attempt to study and extend the molecular puzzle of histoloHistological grade is one of the most commonly used prognostic factors for patients diagnosed with breast cancer. The FERRUM project: Experimental f-values for 4p-5s transitions in Fe II

New measurements of radiative lifetimes of four 3d65s levelsin Fe II at about 10 eV are presented along with absolute oscillator strengths for twenty 4p-5s transitions involving the four levels. The experimental measurements are compared with two different sets oftheoretical calculations. The lines are of particular interest in the modeling of HLyalpha pumped fluorescence of Fe II in as

General formalism for inhomogeneous random graphs

We present and investigate an extension of the classical random graph to a general class of inhomogeneous random graph models, where vertices come in different types, and the probability of realizing an edge depends on the types of its terminal vertices. This approach provides a general framework for the analysis of a large class of models. The generic phase structure is derived using generating f

Decay Constants of Pseudoscalar Mesons to Two Loops in Three-Flavor Partially Quenched ChPT

This paper presents a first study of the decay constants of the charged, or flavor-off-diagonal, pseudoscalar mesons to two loops for three flavors of sea quarks, in Partially Quenched Chiral Perturbation Theory (PQChPT). Explicit analytical expressions up to order p6 in the momentum expansion are given. The calculations have been performed within the supersymmetric formulation of PQChP

Masses and decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons to two loops in two-flavor partially quenched chiral perturbation theory

This paper presents a first study of the masses and decay constants of the charged, or flavor-off-diagonal, pseudoscalar mesons to two loops for two flavors of sea-quarks, in Partially Quenched Chiral Perturbation Theory (PQ chi PT). Explicit analytical expressions up to O(p(6)) in the momentum expansion are given. The calculations have been performed within the supersymmetric formulation of PQ ch

Experimental oscillator strengths in Th II

We have measured radiative lifetimes of ten Th II levels by using thelaser-induced fluorescence technique and branching fractions withFourier transform spectroscopy. By combining the new branching fractionswith a total of 23 lifetimes, from the present work and frommeasurements by Simonsen et al. (cite{Simonsen}), absolute oscillatorstrengths for 180 lines have been derived. Some of these new f-va

Measurements of transition probabilities for complex ions

Fourier transform spectroscopy has proven to be a useful toot when measuring wavelengths and branching fractions. The high spectral resolution makes it possible to extend and improve term analyses of complex spectra. We present an overview of our measurements with the Fourier transform spectrometer at Lund Observatory. Much of our work is motivated by astrophysical problems, and we show an applica

Note on soft graviton theorem by KLT relation

Recently, new soft graviton theorem proposed by Cachazo and Strominger has inspired a lot of works. In this note, we use the KLT-formula to investigate the theorem. We have shown how the soft behavior of color ordered Yang-Mills amplitudes can be combined with KLT relation to give the soft behavior of gravity amplitudes. As a byproduct, we find two nontrivial identities of the KLT momentum kernel

A complete update of ε0/ε in the standard model

The recent release of improved lattice data has revived again the interest on precise theoretical calculations of the direct CP-violation ratio ε0/ε. We present a complete update of the Standard Model prediction [1,2], including a new re-analysis of isospin-breaking corrections which are of vital importance in the theoretical determination of this observable. The Standard Model prediction, Re(ε0/ε

Phenomenology of a flavored multiscalar Branco-Grimus-Lavoura-like model with three generations of massive neutrinos

In this paper, we present several possible anomaly free implementations of the Branco-Grimus-Lavoura (BGL) model with two Higgs doublets and one singlet scalar. The model also includes three generations of massive neutrinos that get their mass via a type-I seesaw mechanism. A particular anomaly free realization, which we dub νBGL-1 scenario, is subjected to an extensive phenomenological analysis,

tt̄X Calculations and Modeling

In this talk, we review the status of calculations for the associated production of a top pair and a Higgs, W or Z boson at the Large Hadron Collider. In particular, we focus on the resummation of soft gluon emission effects and on their combination with the complete set of next-to-leading-order corrections of both QCD and electroweak origin, in calculations in which the final state top pair and m

Analytic representation of FK /Fπ in two loop chiral perturbation theory

We present an analytic representation of FK/Fπ as calculated in three-flavor two-loop chiral perturbation theory, which involves expressing three mass scale sunsets in terms of Kampé de Fériet series. We demonstrate how approximations may be made to obtain relatively compact analytic representations. An illustrative set of fits using lattice data is also presented, which shows good agreement with

A String dynamical description of gluon and ocean quark structure functions

We present a model based upon string dynamics for the small x and large k⊥ parts of the structure functions of a hadron. These ocean partons are taken as those available in the virtual string states, which are resolved by the field pulse q, in case the process is considered as a measuring process. The resulting distributions will for sufficiently small x (x⩽O(Q−4)) behave as 1/x in case we use the

Constraining general two Higgs doublet models by the evolution of Yukawa couplings

We analyse the constraints of the general two Higgs doublet models by evolving the Yukawa coupling constants to high energy under renormalization group. We consider the appearance of a Landau pole or large off-diagonal Yukawa couplings which cause tree level flavour changing neutral currents. Our study shows the latter condition can be used to answer how much Z 2 symmetry breaking can be allowed

Charged scalars from SU(3)3 theories

Inspired by a recently proposed GUT model based on the trinification (SU(3)3) gauge group with a global family (SU(3)F) symmetry, we consider an effective low-energy three Higgs doublet model that may shed light on what underlies the observed fermion mass hierarchies and CKM mixing. We discuss possibilities for charged scalars coming from this model to show in collider experiments and show some in

Light scalars in composite higgs models

A composite Higgs boson is likely to be accompanied by additional light states generated by the same dynamics. This expectation is substantiated when realizing the composite Higgs mechanism by an underlying gauge theory. We review the dynamics of such objects, which may well be the first sign of compositeness at colliders. We also update our previous analysis of the bounds from LHC searches to the

Revealing timid pseudo-scalars with taus at the LHC

A light pseudo-scalar that is copiously produced at the LHC may still be allowed by present searches. While masses above 65 GeV are effectively covered by di-photon searches, the lower mass window can be tested by a new search for boosted di-tau resonances. We test this strategy on a set of composite Higgs models with top partial compositeness, where most models can be probed with an integrated lu

The Hadronic Light-by-Light Contribution to the Muon Anomalous Magnetic Moment: Where do we stand?

We review the status of the hadronic light-by-light contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment and critically compare recent calculations. We also study in detail which momentum regions the pi0 exchange main contribution originates. We also argue that amu{light-by-light} = (11 pm 4) times 10-10 encompasses the present understanding of this contribution and comment on some direct
