The first part of the first volume of the Swedish Academy Dictionary (SAOB) was published in 1893 and the last volume was finished in 2023. Thus Sweden’s most extensive lexicographical project was completed after more than 130 years of work. But the completion is not the end of the dictionary project. Since 2024 a revision project is launched.
