Integration and creative experiences after a merger of two organizations within the Social Insurance Service : A longitudinal group perspective

Syftet med avhandlingen är att analysera integrationsprocessen och undersöka om den kMergers of organizations are a widespread phenomenon in the public as well as in the private sector. Blues for a Blue Planet : Narratives of Climate Change and the Anthropocene in Non-Fiction Books

The planetary changes associated with the Anthropocene, including climate change and extinction of species, pose severe threats to civilization, humanity, and the natural world as we know it. They also pose special challenges to the human imagination. To meet these challenges, climate change communicators use narratives. Nonfiction books intended for a general audience employ two radically differe

Professional blinders? The novel as an eye-opener in organizational analysis

Scholarly textbooks often follow a logic where suitable empirical cases are selected to illustrate the theoretical and analytical points that we as scholars want to make. But what would happen if we would do the opposite: build a textbook on a novel written by a novelist for such purpose and let the theories explain the actions and emotions of fictional characters? In this article, we share and re

Bicycle planning – A literature review

Denna rapport är resultatet av en litteraturstudie om hur olika faktor kopplade till cykelplanering påverkar benägIncreased bicycling is of great importance for a sustainable transport system. This report is the result of a literature study concerning how different factors associated with bicycle planning influence the propensity to choose the bicycle for transportation. The literature study was carried out in the search engine GoogleScholar and only scientific papers, articles and books were included. Throug

The A(ffective) B(ehavioral) C(ognitive) of Taboo Words in Natural Language: The Relationship Between Taboo Words’ Intensity and Frequency

We investigated the relationship between the affective component (A: the level of offensiveness/intensity) and the behavioral component (B: the frequency of usage) of taboo words that are part of an individual’s natural language (C: the cognitive component). In Study 1, 900 US-residents generated the 10 most common taboo words they use in their daily lives (C). Boundary dimensions of social innovation : negotiating conflicts and compatibilities when developing a national agenda

In order to add to the existing knowledge on the complex institutional dynamics of negotiating conflicts and compatibilities in innovation processes that address societal challenges and social needs, this article scrutinizes the scientific and societal debate on the theoretical and practical application of “social innovation” by means of the concept “boundary object” linked to institutional theoryIn order to add to the existing knowledge on the complex institutional dynamics of negotiating conflicts and compatibilities in innovation processes that address societal challenges and social needs, this article scrutinizes the scientific and societal debate on the theoretical and practical application of “social innovation” by means of the concept “boundary object” linked to institutional theory

Interaction mechanisms of low-level electromagnelic fields in living systems / edited by Bengt Nordön and Claes Romel.

The alteration of release of calcium ions from biological tissue by electromagnetic stimulation has bien reported by several authors (Kaczmarec and Adey 1974:, Bawin et al. 1975, 1978; Bawin and Adey 1976; Blackman et al. 1979, l980a,å; Joines and Blackman 1980, l98l; Joines et al. l98O). Bawin etal. (1975) reported that 147 MHz radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic radiation altered the release of The 'ion cyclotron resonance hypothesis' was explored by Liboff et al. (1987) in an experiment involving incorporation of calcium-45 (n5Ca2*) in mixed human lymphocytes. The geomagnetic horizontal field component was'adjusted to 2l pT. The experiment was first performed at an amplitude of the applied oscillating field of 150 pT and a sharp minimum was obtained at the frequency of l43Hz, which corr

The perception of aquaculture on the Swedish West Coast

Efforts are on the way on the Swedish West Coast to develop the capacity for cultivation of marine resources, notably of kelps. Given that this is a region of great natural and national heritage, public opposition to marine developments has been identified as a possible risk factor. This survey thus sought to shed light on awareness levels, perceptions of different types of aquaculture and on reac

Energy Communities: a transition towards a more just energy system?

We use energy in almost every aspect of our lives. Yet, often, we do not know the source of electricity that powers our homes or heats our food. In this episode, we explore energy communities as a form of decentralised and democratic energy production. Community energy sees people coming together to take control of their energy needs, by finding alternative ways to organise and govern the energy sWe use energy in almost every aspect of our lives. Return to work still possible after several years as a disability pensioner due to musculoskeletal disorders : A population-based study after a new legislation in Sweden permitting “Resting disability pension”

Different strategies have been used to stimulate a return to work (RTW) among individuals suffering from long-term ailments. In Sweden a new law on "resting disability pension" permits disability pensioners to go back to work without jeopardising their benefits. In this study different variables related to RTW during 2000 by means of this legislation were identified among disability pensioners witDifferent strategies have been used to stimulate a return to work (RTW) among individuals suffering from long-term ailments. Svenska skalbaggar 1. En blev två - några artsplittar bland svenska skalbaggar

Recent studies of beetle specimens deposited in collections have revealed five species new to the Swedish fauna to be hiding amongst their closely related species. In some cases, the species known to the Swedish fauna are widespread and considered common, making it easy to overlook the slight differences that separate them from the similar and less common species. Some of these species are restric

Attraktivt och hållbart arbetsliv på människors villkor : Arbete, hälsa och ledarskap med SwAge-modellen i teori och praktik

The status of homelessness: Access to housing for asylum-seeking migrants as an instrument of migration control in Italy and Sweden

Homelessness and other forms of destitution among asylum-seeking migrants are currently on the rise across Europe, as migrants’ access to social rights, including housing, has been restricted through repressive migration policies, fuelled by the welfare nationalism and chauvinism that surge among European states. Union Density in Norway and Sweden: Stability versus Decline

The aim is to explain why union density is not only considerably higher in the Ghent country Sweden than in non-Ghent Norway but also why it has declined much more in Sweden, in par-ticular among blue-collar workers. We show how changes to Swedish unemployment insurance in 2007–2013 were followed by a decline in union density and how white-collar unions were more successful than blue-collar unionsThe aim is to explain why union density is not only considerably higher in the Ghent country Sweden than in non-Ghent Norway but also why it has declined much more in Sweden, in particular among blue-collar workers. DutaFabs are engineered therapeutic Fab fragments that can bind two targets simultaneously

We report the development of a platform of dual targeting Fab (DutaFab) molecules, which comprise two spatially separated and independent binding sites within the human antibody CDR loops: the so-called H-side paratope encompassing HCDR1, HCDR3 and LCDR2, and the L-side paratope encompassing LCDR1, LCDR3 and HCDR2. Both paratopes can be independently selected and combined into the desired bispecifWe report the development of a platform of dual targeting Fab (DutaFab) molecules, which comprise two spatially separated and independent binding sites within the human antibody CDR loops: the so-called H-side paratope encompassing HCDR1, HCDR3 and LCDR2, and the L-side paratope encompassing LCDR1, LCDR3 and HCDR2.
