A methodology for evaluating and comparing control strategies for wastewater treatment plants was developed. The basic setup of the benchmark is described and the dynamic input data for performing the simulations are outlined. Initial results using different simulation platforms (Fortran code, Matlab/Simulink and GPS-X) are presented.
