Symposium location
The symposium will be held at the Centre for Languages and Literature (Språk- och litteraturcentrum), Helgonabacken 12, Lund, Sweden. The Centre is centrally located and within walking distance from the Lund Central station and several hotels.
Getting to Lund
By air
The closest international airport to Lund is Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup). There are train connections between Kastrup and Lund and the journey takes around 40 minutes on the Öresund train. Please note that tickets cannot be purchased onboard the train so you have to buy the tickets in advance at the airport. This can be done from the Skånetrafiken or DSB ticket machines. A single ticket costs 150 SEK or around €15. Also, note that there is a passport control at the first stop on the Swedish side (Hyllie) so make sure that you have a valid passport or ID-card with you.
The closest local airport to Lund is Malmö Sturup. Sturup has some international flights from within Europe and Sweden, including Stockholm. There are bus connections between Sturup and Lund and the journey takes around 45 minutes. A single ticket costs 105 SEK or around €10.
By train
Lund Central station is located on the main railway line from Malmö to several different destinations such as Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Berlin and Oslo. Swedish Railways (SJ) and regional rail lines (Öresund and Pågatåg) serve the station.
From Copenhagen Central station, Öresund trains leave for Lund every twenty minutes. The trip takes around 50 minutes and costs 150 SEK or around €15. Please note that there is a passport control at the first stop on the Swedish side (Hyllie) so make sure that you have a valid passport or ID-card with you.
From Stockholm, high-speed SJ trains leave for Lund a dozen times a day. The trip takes around four hours. The price of the ticket depends on the time of the day.
From Gothenburg, Öresund trains leave for Lund about twenty times a day. The trip takes around three hours and costs 377 SEK or around €35.
