The Wahlgren Symposium on Media, Democracy and Globalization, November 14, 2008
Besides the PhD-positions, The Wahlgren Foundation also donated money for the arrangement of workshops dedicated to the general question of "Media, Democracy, and Globalization". The first of these was arranged by the PhD-students in November 2008 at the Centre for Languages and Literature, Lund University. For this event, the doctoral students had invited one international guest each. The programme was as follows:
