Vi studerar blod- och immunsystemet och dess sjukdomar. Ett särskilt fokusområde är hur medfödd genetisk variation påverkar hur blod- och immunceller, och hur sådan variation kan utnyttjas kliniskt. Vilka gener och genmutationer styr t ex risken för blodcancer? Kan vi utnyttja dem för att förebygga och behandla? Vilka styr vår blodgruppsuppsättning? Kan vi utnyttja dem för säkrare transfusion?
